ABOUT

Gita Zimmermann (She/Her) was born in Switzerland and raised in Melbourne/Naarm.

Having completed her degree in Communication Design (g.2015) has been working in the industry for 8+ years harnessing visual communication skills across print, digital and spatial outcomes.

Her experience has seen a focus on creative conception, generating big ideas and concepts from initiation through to final output for various significant Australia-wide campaigns for Rationale Skincare and MECCA, as well as Australia-wide and international Donate campaigns for The Conversation, a leading publisher of research-based news and analysis, from 2022 to present.

Gita has always remained inspired by Swiss Design, throughout her practice favouring a functional identity with elements of play and exploration. Gita isn’t one to align to a particular design style, valuing a minimal framework that allows new projects to take off in an authentic, yet adaptable and fresh direction every time. She also believes design is a powerful communication tool for social change, having found herself in the not-for-profit sector over the past few years.
