‘The Conversation is a global not-for-profit journalism project that pairs professional editors with academics to publish articles that share new research and explain issues in the news’

During my 18 months at The Conversation (TC) in a part-time capacity, I was able to re-design the Editorial Guidelines for The Conversation globally, translated into Indonesian, Spanish and French for their international editions. I worked closely with the Head of Design to make layout designs and create a working document with custom layout, typographic treatments and design flair to tie together brand consistency and taking it into a more professional format. We worked with international teams to translate the online text from word documents into a downloadable PDF for access on their website and to relevant stakeholders globally. Within this project, I worked closely with International teams to ensure translation was accurate within a designed context, accounting for accessibility as well.
